“One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”

“One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” In 2014 the Kiwanis Club of Seminole Breakfast started a project in partnership with Suncoast Textile Recycling. This project involves the placement of clothing recycling boxes at non-profit organizations in the city of Seminole and at businesses (for profit & non-profit) located in the surrounding municipalities south of Ulmerton Road in Pinellas County.

When a business or organization hosts at no cost an attractive, environmentally friendly, maintenance free clothing donation box on their site they help not only the local community but individuals worldwide. Our club receives income from Suncoast Textile based on the number of pounds in clothing they collect from our box. These funds go into our Community Service Foundation account to support our many service projects.

Suncoast Textile Recycling brokers with worldwide partners such as West Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Haiti, Honduras and Mexico in providing their coordinating agencies the much-needed clothing, shoes, belts, purses, hats and linens to help victims of natural disasters and their homeless or disadvantaged population. Another benefit…since its inception, the generous donations received by Suncoast Textile Recycling from area thrift stores and the donation box program has kept over 10 million pounds of recyclable items out of our landfills!
