ENHANCING QUALITY OF EDUCATION

Adopt-A-School Program

In 2012 the Kiwanis Club of Seminole Breakfast became an educational partner with six local elementary schools by participating in a new Adopt-A-School Program. The six schools we presently support are Anona, Bauder, Madeira Beach, Oakhurst, Orange Grove and Seminole.

The Adopt-A-School Program seeks community partners who can provide services or funds to enhance the quality of education, enrich the learning experience and help close achievement gaps. The Kiwanis Breakfast Club has participated in the Adopt-A-School Program by contributing funds to help teachers supplement school classroom supplies and materials for student learning activities. Each school is presented with a check for $1,000 and the Principal is responsible for the supervision of the funds. Our Kiwanis Club has thus far contributed $55,200 to these schools through this program and takes pride in being able to provide services and funding aligning with our mission of “improving the world one child and one community at a time”.
